Crassula 'Moonglow' is an incredible succulent with extra chubby, greyish green leaves that stack tightly to form an upright column around each stem. The leaves are covered with fine hairs, making this unique plant slightly velvety to the touch. While this variety is a slow grower, each stem can reach up to 8 inches in height.
Crassula 'Moonglow' needs plenty of bright, filtered light and adequate airflow around the leaves and soil surface. As the chubby leaves store a great deal of water, thorough watering is only necessary when the soil is completely dry. Porous soil with exceptional drainage is also a must, as moisture retention can predispose this variety to rust fungus and root rot. In winter months, be sure to protect 'Moonglow' from frost, as it is hardy only to Zone 10.
A contented and mature 'Moonglow' succulent will flower in the late winter to early spring months, boasting clusters of tiny apricot blooms atop tall flower spikes.
